Lauren Walsh is a certified Wilson Dyslexia Practitioner and writer-editor. A process-centered educator, Lauren treats her students with dignity and warmth. Her methods help students make impressive measurable gains, better understand how their brains relate to the science of reading, and see that their hard work does indeed pay off.
Lauren began Firefly Reading to help individuals realize their potential, and feel the immense confidence that comes with being an effective reader and speller in a language-driven world.
Lauren is a professional member of the International Dyslexia Association (IDA). She earned her M.Phil in Irish Writing with first class honors from Trinity College Dublin, and her B.A. from Wellesley College. At Wellesley, she double-majored in English and Peace & Justice Studies, with an independent focus on school-based inequities and humanizing educational methods. Lauren has lived and worked in Taipei, Dublin, and Boston, and has enjoyed supporting students of all ages for over a decade.
